Melissa Arkin, MS, has been named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the four Parkridge Valley behavioral health facilities, which include Parkridge Valley Child & Adolescent Campus, Parkridge Valley Adult & Senior Campus, Parkridge Valley Cleveland Outpatient Program, and Moutainview Treatment Center in Jasper, TN.
Arkin comes to Parkridge Valley from Atlanta, GA, where she served as director of behavioral health services at Eastside Medical Center. In this role, she increased behavioral health patient access through integration of assessment and referral services, and developed a dual diagnosis program for those suffering from co-occurring disorders. Arkin also served as executive director of business development and government affairs for three behavioral facilities in North Carolina where she led successful initiatives to obtain Certificates of Need to increase behavioral health beds, and served as a representative for North Carolina Department of Education Strategic Planning for behavioral health services within the school systems.

Arkin received her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University in Pensacola, FL. Her interests and hobbies include Ironman triathlete, distance running, traveling and government policy.
“I am excited to join the Parkridge Health System team,” says Arkin. “I experienced a warm welcome from Chattanooga while completing the Ironman Chattanooga in 2014, and I look forward to now being a full part of the community and serve as CEO of Parkridge Valley.”
Arkin begins her role as CEO of all Parkridge Valley facilities March 23.
